You can get classes and training for a lot less $ than they want.  A reputable agent won’t charge you a dime or insist that you take *this* class (at $xxx, of course) before you sign. Believe it or not, I was doing a play once and one of the props was a 1940s life magazine.  It contained an ad for JRP!! So they have been around a long time.  But they won’t make you rich and famous. If you wanna be a big star, write a show and sell it with the proviso that you are the actor. That’ll work.
