18 y/o actor needs represetation.

Question:

To whom it may concern, I am an 18 year old white male currently looking for an agent to represent myself.  I have been acting for four years, playing assorted roles.  I have done all of my high schools drama productions, playing lead roles, as well as minor roles.  I have various talents, such as , knowldge of musical instruments; trumpet, french horn, and clarinet.  I have four years of gymnastics training.  I have taken theatre workshop courses in school.  I have recieved recognition for my writing in my creative writing courses, as well as poetry.  I am ready to try the big leagues and give 110%.  If anyoe would like to contact me, please email me at Thank You For Reading This, Cal

Cal If you want an actual agent to read this letter, you should send it to an actual agency. This is a wonderful letter, but it’s not going to help you putting it up here. I’d suggest calling the SAG office near where you live and getting a list of Franchised agents in your area. Then send this letter to them along with a head-shot and resume. If you don’t have a head-shot yet, SAG could perhaps refer you to some photographers. Make sure you research each one and find one who your comfortable with, and whose work you like. I am very impressed by your letter, and wish you the best of luck. Be cautious of any replies you get from this post that claim to be able to represent you. legit Agents don’t use News Groups to find clients. I concur with the poster who noted that legit agents don’t really read newsgroups.  I’d also recommend that you proofread your letter very carefully. I’m not an actor and come at things from the literary side, but cover letters are fairly universal, and cover letters with misspellings don’t wash.
