I print what I need when I need it:) Buy the headshots buy the 100’s then print the resume on the back as needed. You don’t staple all your headshots with resumes when you get them do you? — www.murderdujour.com

Assuming he’s got a 1200 dpi printer. Lower than that and the image comes out crummy. Oh, Jeff, the easiest way to set the sheet size to 8 x 10 is to set the bottom and right margins for the picture and the left and bottom margins for the resume (or vice versa) to 1/2 and 1 inch, respectively. I was talking about printing the resume on the back of a photo. Not the photo it’s self. For printing photos a 1200 dpi printer and quality photo paper should do the trick.

It varies depending on the area. Either one staple in the left upper corner, one in the middle top, glue the resume on the back, paper clip, printing on the back; they’re all acceptable. My experience however, has been that if I take them to my casting call without anything, the person who signs you in will do with them what he wants. They all have their own agenda. If I’m mailing to my agents, my SAG agent requires that I glue them to the back, and my non-union agent has just requested that I print them on the back. BTW: For printing, if it’s only text, 300 dpi will be just fine. No need for overkill; while some flatbed scanners now go up to as high as 4000 dpi for printing slides, drum scanners are best for high resolution work, from 1200 on up. http://www.scantips.com when stapling the resume to headshot what is the recommended method? one on top one on bottom, etc… thanks jeff

right on.. thanks… jeff – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – I’m not familiar with micro. word, but if you set the paper size to 8X10 or your margins to 8X10 then align the picture to where it comes out right. Play with blank paper till you get it right. It’s cheaper… it works for me… — www.murderdujour.com do you know how to format micro. word to print to 8×10?
