FIRST ACTING BIT!
Question:
jon mills wrote….. hey i got the chance to do a small bit in our church drama, im pleased, i wish there were more theatres in the area that did drama more, i would like to pursue it, more, but the thatres only seem to have shows on that require older people, that sux im 24 and i livein Ontario, area, 2hrs from Toronto
I have plans to move to Canada next year(not far away!), either Ottawa, Toronto or Vancouver. I would obviously like to try acting out there, I’ve heard that Toronto is the place to be, Montreal is okay, but T-dot is the main base for all productions. I’m 23 and trying here in London, UK, so I’d be interested in any info you get. Cheers! Redeem…..

I’d say skip ottawa.. the only actors that get in there are the clowns we call politicians
Just my opinion of course… CJB

Well you should probably try Toronto itself. There are a lot of productions in that area, and most movies you will see have bit parts and extras parts for people in their early-to-late 20’s. Not to mention the stage scene out in Toronto is nice and large. If you can prove yourself to be able to play a mature character in an audition, it should be easy to land the part. Maturity in acting is a relative term, if you can act it, you’ve got the part!
