GUYS, help me check this out!! acting!

Hi guys, I am a student at UC Santa Cruz. there is this company called Extra Extra casting… go check it out and tell me your opinion, thanks!

I visited the web site, Art.  Totally weird situation, and it’s hard to figure what they’re up to, but this much is definitely true: 1) The owners of Extra Extra are VERY minor players in the Bay Area entertainment scene.  I, for example, have never heard of either of them, and I am in a position to know. 2) Nothing much happens in Santa Cruz. 3) In the web site, they talk like agents, saying they will decide if you are right for principal or extra work.  And then they say they’re not agents.  I dunno.  They’re selling classes. 4) If they are going to make their money exclusively from Santa Cruz area actors paying $20, they’ll be out of business pretty quickly. There are maybe six actors in Santa Cruz. Ed Hooks

Hi Ed!! you are back!! woo hoo glad you are back, hope you had a nice vacation/trip and didn’t embarrase yourself in the lecture..j/k yea, well they are currently casting for a non-union film called Silicon Valley, and looking for a Asian male college age, so I’ll probably submit to them and see what happens.  It is weird, cuz they are charging NO FEES for their registered talent, but then again registered talent doesn’t have to pay anything either.  20 bucks is s reasonable filing fee according to some other people from this newsgroup.  But I doubt they can survivie on that…haha. well, the only reason I contacted them is cuz I wanted to get casted in this film, 16 mm featured length movie, couldn’t hurt. Hi guys, I am a student at UC Santa Cruz. there is this company called Extra Extra casting, they are 2 casting directors whom actors can get register with them and stuff. it’s weird, cuz they charge 20 bucks for non-union talent, they cast both extra and principal actors.  and they don’t charge any commission fee, and they offer free classes for commercial and everything for their registered clients….wow seems like a good deal….if i get accepted i don’t ever have to pay them again since they are not my agents.  they are just casting directors. anyway, here is their website   http://www.extraextracasting.com go check it out and tell me your opinion, thanks! !!== Big Art ==!!
