Here ya go- I will break down and give ya some advice- 2 books- get ‘em! read ‘em! learn ‘em! 1) Advice to the Players- by Robert Lewis 2) AUDITION- by Michael Shurtleff If you still think you can be an actor- then grow 5 more layers of skin, learn to  be your own best friend, then maybe you will be qualified to begin to perform. Remember. . . . ART IS NOT PRETTY!

you need to either go to college in theatre, or start taking acting classes around your area, L.A. is the best, obviously, if in C.A.   Go out and look for a beginners acting book at a book store and it will have information to cover almost everything to get started… – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – Hi, I would like to get into the film acting industry…. How do you define being "an actor." Do you mean, a working actor? If so, the best thing to do is probably to take some improv classes. Not focusing on humour, but being able to react to a situation that is changing is a very important skill to have.
