An example of Good or Bad Acting
Question:
- Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – Sorry folks if you think this is another OT issue, but is anyone catching the republican candidates on Larry King right now? I’m not saying I’m a republican, …but what an irony that what clearly appears to be the most intelligent, most capable, most knowledgable and most principled Republican candidate, doesn’t stand a chance of winning the nomination. Tune in to this, and watch the way he pulls the strings of McCain & Bush, and their attempts to score points. Off topic, you say? …consider it a character study, or an example of bad acting in action. 8^) Drama Queen — politics has always been theatre…OK I’m biased being a director who also works as a political agent, but IMO it’s incontrovertible truth it’s become more important for a candidate to be a good actor as television has become the major medium in which politics takes place…but that is just a change from live to broadcast media the other thing to bear in mind is that a candidate doesn’t always run to win…some run to change the political agenda or to raise their own profile for other purposes
Oh I know, I just thought it was interesting to watch what I thought was unfolding infront of my face. eric "the alternative to seeing things in black and white is to see them in full colour"

A clever attempt to make an OT post topical via the subject heading. Really though…. Let’s hear some examples of good acting and bad acting. Hercules and Xena? Bad David Spade? Bad Talk amongst yourselves. – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – I’m not saying I’m a republican, …but what an irony that what clearly appears to be the most intelligent, most capable, most knowledgable and most principled Republican candidate, doesn’t stand a chance of winning the nomination. And I refuse to deal with any male that wants to talk abortion.

Or an example of the ability of media to manipulate the focus. Check out the way the camera angles are used to emphasize what the powers that be choose to focus on.
