My chest hurts when I breathe, and I think I am using my fast acting inhaler too much.  My normal doc is still out of the country till next wend.  I saw some other doc in his office (I explained the whole inderal situation, all my meds, and everything in detail) and he wants me to take flovent 220, but it is really expenvie, and I cant afford the copay for it. (And they have no samples at all, the medical group the doctors are a part of has banned drug reps from the doctors offices and there buildings) I have a old advair disk, it is 100/50, so I know the dose is a lot lower, but can I use that do you think?  He seemed to want me to use the flovent, and I didnt know how expensive it was going to be though, and when I call they are going to want to tell me to go back in, and I cant afford that either…I don’t know if I should call and beg for them to script some predisone? or if I should see if they will let me use the rest of the year old advair disk that is at less than half of the dose of the med I am supose to get…  I know predisone is pretty cheap, I beat a 10 day dose would be like a dollar or two copay… So would it hurt to use the advair instead?  That is what I used in the past.  Can I double the dose on advair or will the /50 in a double dose be bad?  I just have to get by for a week till my normal doc is back. Personally I think I need to be on oral steroids, but I am out of predisone….  I could really go for a solumedrol iv, that makes my lungs feel a lot better really fast….  I could go to the er every day, but I will still have to pay my $2000 dedubticle and co-pay, but atleast they bill me, unlike the prescription co-pays. I guess Ill hang in there and try to use the advair, unless anyone has some suggestions… sorry again for my no money drama, I am still waiting to hear on ssdi, it is supose to be very very soon… thanks,,, jamie
