When to add the part on the resume?

Question:

Hiya Gang… I’ve just been informed that I got a part in a movie…should I wait until the project is complete before I add it to my resume? Thanks!    Joe

Response:

No.  Put it on now.  Providing that you can change it easily if the production breaks or gets shelved for any reason. You gonna tell us what it is, or make us watch every single movie that comes out to try and guess which one you are?  Wait, you’ll be the one in the fighter with the helmet when Obi Wan is trying to fight and you’re trying to take off.  Ah-HA.  Now I remember.  *G* Good for you!  Do well and have tons of fun. Yup.

Response:

If it feels definite: you have a contract/they’ve spoken to your agent, I’d put it down. May as well start getting mileage from it. – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – Hiya Gang… I’ve just been informed that I got a part in a movie…should I wait until the project is complete before I add it to my resume?
