Counting down: ONE day to RSG-ATLANTA
Question:
You FIVE putted? Oh my. – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – Let it be recorded that I registered the first par at RSG-ATLANTA, as well as the first birdie (the only birdie in this unofficial round). David’s first par came, uh… should I really say this?….. on the 8th hole. I’m sick and tired of all these inaccuracies, I didn’t get my first par until the 9th hole. Suffice it to say, David is not used to greens like this. Velvety smooth, like a pool table. Well, a pool table that is in sorry need of being leveled. In Memphis two years ago, I watched David Laville hole every damn putt he looked at in the Saturday morning practice round. Today was quite different. I saw him three-putt more times in one round than he’s probably done in the last two years. Stroke looks fine. He’s just not used to putting on greens like this. A couple of people and I believe you too asked if I putted with a PW because my ball spent more time in the air than it did rolling on the green. For the record to show how bad I putted Saturday morning I had 7 three putts and 2 four putts. Saturday afternoon I had 7 three putts and a five putt. I putted the ball 3 feet off the green, chipped on than four putted for a total of five putts. As bad as I putted I will putt on those greens any day compared to the crap they call greens I have to play on. David Laville, G.S.E.M. Don’t like the posts – don’t read them! Bottom line- STFU!!
Take your own advice. You obviously don’t like Felicity’s posts, so don’t read them. I usually don’t.
Response:
All complaining does is add fuel to the fire. No sense getting all brassed off.
Felicity constantly complains… Is it that some people feel they have to read EVERY post by EVERY poster and that Felicity is taking up their time? I just don’t get it. If I don’t like someone’s posting style, I don’t read their posts and they don’t bother me.
Felicity complains about all the RSG Atlanta posts. She should follow your advice. Dan L.

– Jon – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – You can not have read, or understood, the repressive posts here over the last few months, by those who feel they own the group. If I had posted as Randy has, i would have been punced upon. think about it with an open mind. You’ll find that I have much more than a point.. — F. You don’t have a clue. If you did you would post something useful instead of all these wasted, "I’m so mistreated" posts. If you don’t like it, don’t read it. I used to try to ignore George, and tolerate you, now I just ignore you, and George has actually posted some good advice. Get with the program, quit bitching that we all dislike you, and post something to make us think differently of you. Ritch
Well, I for one, don’t dislike her. I’ll bet she’s a fine and intelligent person. Some of you think she’s a git, but she’s just a clever dick, definitely not a divvy. Hopefully a small bum and big bristols, not the other way around. And heck, she’s from England, I feel sorry for her
Can you imagine growing up and only knowing that the sun is some glowing orange ball that hides behind the clouds, and that dinner is not actually some form of daily punishment. I mean what can you say about someone who wakes up to black pudding, and was brought up on faggots and spotted dick. She thinks that great golf weather is when it gets over 13* C and isn’t pouring. Seriously though, if you don’t like someone’s wry sense of humor or keen sense of observation, don’t read their posts. People who are ignored won’t respond as much. All complaining does is add fuel to the fire. No sense getting all brassed off. Is it that some people feel they have to read EVERY post by EVERY poster and that Felicity is taking up their time? I just don’t get it. If I don’t like someone’s posting style, I don’t read their posts and they don’t bother me. A caveat. I may read about 2% of the posts here, and if I see one going on forever I just can’t catch up so I’ll ignore it altogether. I’m sure many of Felicity’s threads fall in that category, so I may have read 1% of her posts, but I get the gist. TTFN
Response:
–snip If I recall correctly, not too long ago you were complaining that self-appointed newsgroup policemen were trying to infringe on your right to post what you wanted in a worldwide, free, and unmoderated forum. Who’s the police(wo)man now?
Precisely. Hence my highlighting the double-standards of those who feel they own the forum. Some of it is quite interesting. Randy’s done a fabulous job, inc star guests, mystery guests (Annika) etc. as well as others who have contributed prizes..whatever.. Well done Randy (& others). But if he & others never hesitate to repeatedly jump on others for their posting habits – caps lock, voluminous posts, swing help, flooding ..etc etc etc etc – then don’t blame others for pointing out the obvious in cases like this. If I held an event and all these threads were started they’d pounce. No question. It works both ways. Touch
