English Drama Schools.Any ideas?

Question:

Have a look at my website for advice on auditioning for drama school in the U.K. I have say that your current ‘choices’ are a somewhat eclectic mix. Ah, I’ve got it! It’s "Have I Got News For You?" – which is the "odd one out?" The answer is LAMDA, because all the others have employed me (and have lots of open space and fresh air around them.) However, have a look at LAMDA’s website: it has the best summary of the difference between acting and academic intelligence. Good luck! My 4 choices (so far) are : Rose Bruford, East15,Oxford school of Drama and LAMDA. University is out I think because I only got an E in GCSE Maths and you really need C or above. So any information, personal experiences etc that anyone has to offer would be appreciated.

hat is a VERY eclectic set of schools…the first thing I would suggest is that you need to decide what you want to get out of a course…I would also go for at least one of the "big" schools…you’ll not find out if you are good enough to get into Guildhall or Central if you don’t apply

You get zip, except for this:  Regional commercials are mostly union, especially the "huge" ones.  If you are indeed shooting on a Sunday for a union spot, then make sure that you and your agent and your union get a "triple fee" for shooting on a Sunday. And if you are indeed being type-cast for comedic/cartoon/fantasty characters, well then you’ll have to either be more specific, or you’ll have to solve this one on your own.
