How was your NYE?
Question:
My wife and I sat down and watched The Grudge. Very stupid movie although it did make me jump a couple times. Then we put on SAW about some psycho who was holding these two guys prisoner. It was not a legit dvd and the picture quality was nearly as bad as the movie itself. I got bored and came online, read groups and then started playing delta force. My wife came in the computer room and told me to wake her up at 12 am. At 12:03 I looked up at the clock and went in and said HNY. She grunted and rolled over. I went back to my df game and played till I got too tired. The End. -phy (WooHoo! Make way for the party aminal)

We had a good time. I exercised with my Son for an hour or so, got bathed and he went to bed. Me and Hubby watched "The Prophecy" 2 & 3 , we got the boxset of all 3 for xmas. Was slightly sozzled so all the angels kicking butt were kind of amusing. There was a woman in no2 who looked like Dolores who was having this oriental angels baby (Nephilim) to stop a war between the angels loyal to God and the rebel angels who wanted to destroy mankind. The oriental angel reminded me of Darfalz. Was laughing at the thought of Darkfalz being an angel impregnating Dolores when we switched over to see what was on TV and the prog which was on was called "I’m no Rappaport", I swear, I was laughing so hard I nearly burst a gasket and had to explain it to hubby who was sat befuddled. — ————————————— http://vilmab.blogspot.com —————————————

I went to a coffeehouse full of old, dateless, overweight hippies, ex-hippies and burnouts. I felt right at home, even though i was the youngest person there by about 20 years. At 12:01 one guy played "Auld Lang Syne" on an acoustic guitar. I had some really bad decaf coffee and a surprisingly good piece of cheesecake. All in all, no more of a pathetic waste of time than any other evening of 2004. "phy" <phy…@yahoo.com> wrote in message

Watched Magnolia & Big Lebowski (gotta follow the saddest movie ever with the funniest). Got extremely drunk during those movies. Fell off the porch watching explosions. Somehow woke up at ex-girlfriends house. Self-loathing reaching a boiling point. — halfblotto@sof,tho,me.pet – I will send you a videotape marked as "Mary Poppins" that will actually contain footage of kittens consuming my flesh, so as to ruin your enjoyment of kittens AND "Mary Poppins".

I was at a party with about 20 people at a friend’s house outside the town, from about 9pm to early in the morning. It was pretty cool, i had a good time. As i said in the other the thread, i went with a female friend of mine, so i didn’t felt so left out as i did other times (also i knew 6 other people there, which helped). I drank enough to be less inhibited, but not enough to get me drunk or give me a hangover, and i danced a lot too. Then towards the end i had some very interesting conversation with an asian-american living here. There were a few annyoing bits, like the stock extrovert guy, asking why i wasn’t joining in and having fun when i had the most, or the fact that i felt a bit guilty because my friend got very tired after a while and wanted to leave earlier, but we couldn’t (no sober drivers, no public transport, no cabs would come that far out of the city on NYE). I wondered if she wouldn’t have prefered if we had just gone to a club like we initially planned (she didn’t know anyone else at this party – but, unlike me, she is social)…

Another night that’ll blur with the rest of them. Went to a club, got insanely drunk, got ignored by chicks, blown off and otherwise rejected when I did make meager attempts at saying hello. Don’t remember much of the night except the parts that sucked sice it still cuts deeply no matter how accustomed I am to it all (damn hope, damn it all to hell). Stunbled home, passed out. I’ve had a grand total of one truly enjoyable NYE, in 2000. My total of good NYE’s did not double this year.
Response:
Compared to previous NYE, this was quite a low-key event, but it brought back lots of memories from 6 years ago. I’m now back in Vancouver Canada and staying at a new place along the rapid transit line. I’ll be here for some time actually, as I’m going back to school to do my Education Degree. Talk about going ’round full-circle, I’m now a student again! Anyhow last night I got invited to a house party by a friend, which was family oriented as as the people there were babysitting kids and neighbors’ kids. I was the only white guy there – why does this always happen in my case?! Anyways it was lots of fun, and the people asked many questions about my life in the past 3 years. We then tried to do a New Years countdown from the TV, but too much time was wasted flipping the channels to find a suitable program! In the end, it was 12:01 before we found a program, and the countdown already happened!! Not to worry though, we wished everyone a happy new year, then I went with my friend downtown and walked around for a few hours, before hitting the rapid transit home. On the train, the people were acting all rowdy and stuff, total memories of 1999. Finally got back home and crashed. Steve

I went to a club on my own and ran into one person I know who I expected to be there and a few others who I didn’t. Somehow I ended up in bed with a pretty girl at the end of the evening. This seems to be happening more to me recently. I think my shyness and self-conciousness is dissipating as I get older. I just don’t seem to care so much anymore. I’m getting the hang of leaving my ego at home when I go out. Sometimes I get an unpredictable wave of paralysing panic, but other times I surprise myself. It seems fairly random when this happens. It’s usually (but not always) sparked off by close contact with a MOTOS though. I’m sure I still come across as shy, uncommunicative and a little cold – but I’m caring less about that and not thinking about it. This approach seems to work.

Oh – we didn’t have sex. She was ‘riding the cotton pony’. But we had a nice time nonetheless and it was good to not be alone. Sometimes I miss just having a female body in bed with me, regardless of whether sex happens or not.

Excuse me if this has been asked before, but is your wife a foreigner Phy? She seems a bit moody and high-strung. Like Filipinos and some Europeans. Me: I did nothing but stay home. Heard on Fox News that about half do that, and one-quarter go out and party. Watched a Cops marathon on CourtTV. — "Ships that pass in the night, and speak to each other in passing, only a signal shown and a distant voice in the darkness. Why do you do that? As I understand it, you don’t believe in the free will, so whatever you do is not your fault, and there is no point in punishing yourself. — AP

Do you enjoy secretly your punishment in any way? Psychologically? Physically? If you get some satisfaction from it there isn’t much incentive to find anyone else and not be alone. — ————————————— http://vilmab.blogspot.com —————————————
