Ping CIB

Question:

– Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – Yes and Yes. :) The movie’s actual [Asian] title is "Tai Chi Master" but I guess that sounded too dull for an American audience. Hopefully, Action Channel will run "The Legend" both 1 and 2 again… Ok, thanks for the confirmation. I’ll catch them, either on satellite or from Blockbuster under the Rewards program (rent a new release, get an older one free).  I wish they’d show the movies in the original language with English subtitles, as a lot is lost during the dubbing process.  I did catch some "Pt. 2" movie with Jet Li where his mother kept jumping in and kicking ass whenever he was threatened, though he had to rescue her from being hanged at the end.  Some parts of that movie were absolutely hilarious.

That’s the Legend 2. Catch the first one, as well. It has a cute romantic comedy of errors within the chop socky, as well as an AMAZING fight scene between Jet Li’s ‘mom’ and the mom of his intended bride! – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – They were running another one, it’s mucho badass, and I forgot the name! Jet Li is a student at a school in China during the Japanese occupation, and he fights a large clan or school of Japanese fighters in vengeance for killing the master of his school. The best friend / deadly enemy from Twin Warriors plays the best friend / next in line school master in this flick. I saw that one.  It was pretty cool, though I had unwelcome company and my kids were acting out big time while I was trying to watch it.  It’ll be on again, I’m sure.  I now have a satellite receiver with TiVo functions, so I can pause a movie when the firstborn decides to go potty during "and the murderer is…" parts and such.  ;^) Love & Laughter, Nightshade

Response:

Recently you mentioned a movie where a character comes to realization of the Tao while insane.  Was it Jet Li in "Twin Warriors"?  I saw that last night, and that part was absolutely amazing.  I don’t know if you get the Action channel, but it shows a lot of the Asian martial-arts movies. Also showing there is a pretty cheesy (but awfully entertaining) Star Wars knockoff "Message From Space", but that’s another story. Love & Laughter, Nightshade "The Earth you scorch may be your own."

And that’s something to be proud of, is it? You haven’t a CLUE.

– Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – at least I started this one Wow.  A mini-flame fest where I see only one side of the conversation. Duane.  Everyone else is in my killfile. Ha! And when did the test finish? She was still "Trouncing" me today Lol… he didn’t pass ‘The Test’, did he, CIB? D Some people just don’t get it… Why am I here? Well, why the fuck NOT, genius? A more interesting question would be, why do you care what I do or say?  Look at yourself, puling on and on, and as stupid as any hypocrite I’ve ever seen and subsequently thrashed. And before you start crying and whining again, think about this… A) What makes you think you merit my treating you like I treat people I *like*? B) Do you really think I forgot you said you’d posted here before, liar? So don’t go bothering with this newbie act. You’re some loozer I trounced in the past, returning with an axe to grind, albeit impotent and tiny. C)                      /
