I get what they were saying in the rest of the article completely. I may be a bit idealistic, but I think that any man of any race can learn if they are willing and open to something new. I suspect it depends on the child…given that I’m constantly hearing how English as a Second Language students are so *fucked* by the white man. – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text –

Yeah, apparently things are rough for college-educated black women looking for a mate. http://www.interracialdating.com/article.html A choice quote: The reason most often cited, though, for the change in dating attitudes is demographics. A disproportionate number of black men are in jail, or are murder victims. One in every 20 Black men older than 18 is in prison, the 2000 Human Rights Watch report concluded. Black teenage males are seven times more likely to be murdered than white teenage males, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported. The result is that black women face a marriage squeeze. According to the Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies in Washington, the percentage of black women who are married declined from 62 percent in 1950 to 36 percent in 2000. Melanie Robinson, 29, says many black men know the numbers favor them so they have less incentive to treat a black woman well. I might be miscomprehending what you said, but this attitude is not something new. There has always been a segment of black population that would accuse any "brother" who was trying to improve themselves of acting white. I mean "Uncle Tom’s Cabin" was written 151 years ago. I haven’t read the book, but I am presuming that is where the derogatory term ‘Uncle Tom’ came from. Then again, my friends in school gave me such a hard time about making good grades that I started slacking off. So it might be just due to jealousy and peer pressure. -phy

Latinas. A co-worker of a friend of mine brags that she and her husband only speak to their brat in Spanish.  Ergo, the child will apparently have learned no English whatsoever when it begins kindergarten.  Brilliant, eh?

I didn’t say that it would. Perhaps growing up *not* idolizing total fuckers and lowlifes like 50 Cent, Jay-Z, BIG, Tupac, Dre, etc would be a good start for young black males. There’s nothing more I would love to see than that lot consigned to the cultural incinerator. They are the epitome of worthless scum.

I wonder if hiphop dudes and rappers talking about killing cops in drivebys instead of maximizing your future potential has anything to do with it? > My campus is a predominantly female campus. Blacks make up about 15%.

I heard that A&M universities give full scholarships to white people. I dont know if it is true though. I also heard that white students at these colleges have to put up with a lot of racism though. -phy

You don’t have to listen to them, although popular culture is pretty bad nowadays. Some ignorant folks have taken control, and are trying to act like acting like a moron is black and acting like you got some sense is white. It’s not true, and those people can just go rot as far as I’m concerned. >I heard that A&M universities give full scholarships to white people. I >dont know if it is true though. Some folks don’t got good sense. I tell folks, they gotta learn to live with everyone.  But it’s not like they listen to me, since I’m just a horrible person. — Hana no Kaitou http://animeg.blogspot.com/ <–yet another shitty blog. http://members.fortunecity.com/animeg3282/ <—Fancy Lala Club! http://groups.yahoo.com/group/fancy_lala  <mailing list for Lala fans

Teh stereotype images protrayed are just ridiculous. Teh sad parte that so manee people in teh US buy into it. Years ago, when I lived in campus housing, I think I was teh only white looking(i’m not caucasion though) girl on my floor. Blacks from the islands, Arica, and Europe lived there and I promise you that they weren’t speaking and dressing like a bunch of dumb asses. – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text ->>I heard that A&M universities give full scholarships to white people. FAMU doesn’t seem to be that disproportionate.

The hit single, "Maximize Your Potential", was #300,000 on the charts for five minutes in 2002.

At the black Memorial Day weekend down here a few weekends ago, when I went walking around, I noticed that many of the black girls I was overhearing were speaking with more intelligence…and were really using better English than what I normally hear from the white girls and Latinas. Especially the Latinas.

Hummm… Interesting. Look at the following links: http://www.isteve.com/blondes.htm http://www.isteve.com/IsLoveColorblind.htm A paradox but true statistical fact is that in the USA black females do largely better then black males in academic achievement (for USA whites the reverse is partially true… only slightly!). This is an intractable problem both for people who argue IQ, academic achievement, etc. are biological based and for people who believe these things are mainly related to enviromental (social) conditions where people live. See also following link: http://www.jewishworldreview.com/cols/sowell100102.asp Tchuss TheShiest P.S.: So far I know, in Africa and actually in the rest of World men appear to be slightly "smarter" (IQ, academic achievement, etc.) then women.

I wonder do more black women attend college than black men? My campus is a predominantly female campus. Blacks make up about 15%.
