Hard to say, Bill. The Spidey movie is out of Columbia Pictures. Carl — I promise to change my sig lines as often as I change my underwear. – CASalonen

Free to whom Bill, …the production, or the extra? While in the Eaton Centre yesterday, I ran into a girl who was rather upset. Seems she had just come from a "so-called" agent’s office where she was refused a refund of the $60 registration fee and the $24 monthly maintenance fees she had paid this "so-called" agent to get her work. In the past year, she hadn’t even gotten her one audition let alone a job. When she told me the name of this agent, and I responded with "I’ve never heard of her", she was extremely surprised because apparently she had seen *my* headshot & resume at this woman’s office. I was seething with anger at that moment, …and it was a damned good thing business hours were over or I would have paid this lady a visit. Having seen my headshot & resume there she concluded this woman was the one who represented me and was therefore legit. It has yet to be determined whether this was an assumption this girl jumped to, or whether it was a lie calculated to extract money. In any event, I do not respond well to having my confidential materials displayed without my consent and far less having my credibility exploited by crooks. This is not the first time this has happened either. In 1988 a recent friend of mine in the business mentioned to me she was in possession of my P&R. It did take me by surprise, but I was neither upset nor worried about it because she was afterall legitimately in the business and did have the power to give me work. It sometimes really pisses me off that casting personnel do not take greater care with the headshots and resumes entrusted to them. Just because someone shows you a headshot and resume of a working actor, does not mean they represent that actor. Even if they do, the resume credits reflected thereon, do not necessarily mean they got them through that person. Caveat Emptor. Drama Queen

Good point. I agree with you. That wasn’t the point Bill was making, tho, I don’t think. Carl — I promise to change my sig lines as often as I change my underwear. – CASalonen

Carl, it doesn’t matter which studio is putting it out. Scam artists are notorious for fictitiously attaching themselves to legitimate players to extract money from an unsuspecting public. I’ve seen marginally legit people try to attach themselves to a huge budgetted Touchstone film in the past. I also saw how swiftly and decisively both Touchstone & their parent company Disney acted to stop this in it’s tracks once they became aware of complaints filed by legit, but we don’t know that. Remember the Scab seeking casting notice Greg responded to not so long ago. Again, I urge *ALL* readers to use caution when giving out information about themselves over the internet. Drama Queen
