_What Dreams May Come_ *spoiler*

Question:

i thought it was great.  i had a major loss at a young age, and thought the movie actually helped me, so ymmv. saving private ryan is great, but really intense, and pretty rough with the war gore, but was accurate of it from what i’ve heard. – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – SPOILER:  su*c*de and d*ath mentioned * * * * A visually beautiful movie, especially if you love art.   I see why it was not a huge box-office success.   It was very intense and frightening at times.  The plot was totally implausible, but geez, it’s a fantasy.  Imagine the works of the great Master painters, _The Wizard of Oz_,  _Titanic_ and  Dante’s Inferno rolled into one. NOT RECOMMENDED for ASD people who are in crisis, have nightmares, traumatic histories, tragic losses (due to untimely d*ath) or are struggling with su*c*dal thoughts – if so, stay  _far away_ from this movie.  Hubby did not like it (the darker parts especially), too many triggers.   Couldn’t imagine anyone other than a dissociative like Robin Williams playing the lead (he was OK, acting-wise).  I _love_ intensity, but it’s not for everyone.  OTOH, if you’re feeling gutsy and are up for an afterlife adventure with a sappy-happy Hollywood ending, go for it.  Anyone else seen it?  Opinions? i think, it was the weirdest movie ive ever seen. Everyone wasn’t themselves and it got really confusing after a while trying to keep track of them…  I kinda liked the story strangely but agree with you that it wouldn’t have been great if i was on the down…

I’ll probably watch it… 1. I rarely take warnings to heart 2. I don’t think my mood could get much worse 3. I often put myself to sleep with twilight zone/dark fantasy storylines running though my head (damn it if only I would write some of those and my dreams, could find an income as a writer). Thanks for the spoiler though, at least I will know what I’m getting myself into <g. in a rotton pitiful mood, Rick

dude, thats fuckin retarded. If anything that movie will make people want to live. I thought it was a very uplifting experience watching it. don’t take the person who started this thread’s advice. deadworld
