When Emerson said that machines, once made, make men, he could have as well been talking about 1980s and 1990s. I am writing this to speak of the psychic disfigurements that have been done to the Man and Woman in order to enable an age of unneeded, fear-sustained, soul-killling and in every respect weakening tehnological bloat that cannibalized every Function of Mind and Spirit in order to realize no great accomplishment. I speak not even of the well-documented effects on the biosphere but on the more disfiguring still effects on the Psyche. I speak of a monstrosity that is the ultimate capitulation and ultimate Failure of an era – not something kin to the promised Autonomous Piece of Machinery that Man in this era has failed to create, but something so utterly contemptible as the Technological Man to which Man has been reduced. The Man who has forgotten how to love. The Man internally crippled and internally mangled. The Man whose internal neurological structures – his mind, his spirit, his soul and his body – are as though hacked up in machinery, run through by ugly wires refracting upon each other and mangling the structures of consciousness, to inform the Psyche that in its true form runs by the Logic of Nature, to run by logic of False rationality. I speak of the interest and the disfigurement that would demand this of human being and call the result an improvement upon humanity’s basic state. It is fitting that I write this on the Usenet, for Usenet demonstrates the logic of technological man in full clarity. Eliot speaks of the technological man feeling paralyzed, sprawling on a bin, unable to take action lest he disturb the universe. This failure of intentionality is quite common indeed and can be discerned as the basic character of the newsgroups such as alt.angst; whose specialty as a mindspace consists of mangling everything in the Human Organism that might spell Hope and reduce All to a level of absolute incognizance and weakness. Since this phenomenon has nearly cost the life of someone I love, as much as it has cost most people the ability TO love another human being or to see and accept love when it comes, I cannot renounce a personal interest in seeing the end of this monster in all its formulations inside the cultural mindspace as inside the mind and emotion of all individuals. For after all, it is meaningless to speak of free will and free reason when the inside of human psyche is mangled through memetic representation and psychological mangling into absolute helplessness, until the only people who have enough cognizance and enough sensitivity to remember the essentiality that it is meant to be human beings are crippled, destroyed in their Channels of Passion that is to them available, abraded, shattered and crumble like flies into the frozen waters of a misformulated psycholinguistic medium, their insides warped into permafrost and their heads bobbing up like dried ice, while the other half of Humanity are entombed inside steely husks of downward bound minds and dead already. What is a technocrat? Someone who imposes upon the Psyche the logic of the Machine. Someone who subjugates the Soul and the Consciousness to logic informed by mechanistic ideology. Someone who presents Love, Essence and Consciousness in terms that are discernible to a linguistic mind entrained with mechanistic paradigm and thereby subdues the logic of the Psyche – the logic through which it connects to the Universal – to mechanistic consciousness. Through which the mechanistic consciousness then weaves a lie of rationality as though with dark cables across the Rivers of Passion. The technocrat is the man who subdues Man to Machine.. the man who tames the Psyche into representations of Logic suitable to the mechanism. The Technocrat is the individual who makes the Psyche that, in its natural and fulfilled form, applies the method of Reason in service of Psyche, to subdue the Psyche in service of a fallacious rationality. The Technocrat is the man who makes man a tool of the machine. The technocrat tames the psyche and puts through it the rotten wires of the social big lie – a big lie that is as objectively inconsistent as it is objectively false; but that, through induction of multiple psychological errors and violence done to every subconscious Faculty, spells perfect sense to the rational mind that is submersed in this Context.The lie can last the entirety of one’s life, or it can be deconstructed at any level. The rational mind simply shifts contexts and claims its change-of-centers by such names as growth or maturation or change of times. What does it mean by either of the preceding? It can’t tell without submersing you in its psychic space, and is typically very offended at any prodding for rational explanation. There is a very good reason for that: The structures on which it rests have been altered, and any examination with its help of the structures on which it rests is bound to challenge another Western lie suitable to the technocrat; the lie that ignorance of the psychic context that the rational mind – any rational mind – inhabits can coexist with self-autonomy and rationality. Among the symptoms of the technocrat the separation of reason and passion is first and foremost. If reason and passion run by a different logic from one another then reason is based on a premise that is corrupt. Or else the channels of passion are disfigured. Or both at once, which is indeed necessary for a holistic being that is the Human Mind to achieve before this fragmentation can happen. What is reason? A tool. A method. Something that exists to serve human interest. If the reason produces concoctions that are anti-passion, and passions are not intellectually justified, then it is a tool of interest hostile to human soul. The result of which is dual: A stuntedness of reason and a stuntedness of passion. Until eventually the strutures of passion collapse and the Man becomes an extension of interest that is hateful to human soul. Allow me therefore to take up the technocrat on his well-vaunted symbolism of rationality that he uses, not as a method of making machines, but as a tool of oppression against the Psyche. All that is logical is reducible to the basic premise, and indeed at the core of every technocratic concoction can be found a Corruption of the Psychology – corruption that is a basic disconnection from the Psyche and as such a false axiom on which the Rational edifice rests. Like the Christian metaphor of Original Sin, this Basic Lie is a place in the Mind where Confusion, Error, Fear and Psychic Disfigurement manifest in a separation of the Psyche from Cosmic Flow, allowing for an insertion of a rationality based on this premise. I don’t know which is the scariest thought. That you believe what you wrote, or you understand what you wrote. That’s one of the differences between books and discussion groups. These groups are more interactive than a simple text. I covered much ground so I don’t expect everything to be completely clear but I didn’t think the writing was that hard to read.

I have the same problem being concise.On big complicated subjects. I don’t want this to become a flamewar but if you are expecting an article from a Harvard grad then I am not that person. Some of the article was based on my experience growing up in a ghetto in one of America’s most notorious towns.

I myself,respect you MORE than a Harvard Graduate. Why ?because you speak from experince itself as it applies to your life. A harvard grad speaks from it from a distance he m,ay use the right jargon,the right’sentance structures’ or make it look sllick but for him he can afford to make it a ’show’.Because Mr.Harvard never lived the real show himself,only vicariously.. And I think it’s tragic and also I think someone somewhere LIKES to keep it that way. There is a LOT of resources on this Earth, a lot of wealth and such,plenty for all if it was seen as a birthright to eat,be safe, have healthcare, have shelter ,contribute,create and connect,instead of it being something that was given only by labor ,purchases,or selling of lifetime time.The capitalist system is not as open as it says it is,and people who have never had to choose between food or clothes or electricity,just can’t understand.A person should be able to persue things they love in life,not just the wealthy.People should share the wealth AND share the shit work. If some hoard it to themselves and persuade others to see that as ‘normal’,and didn’t feel so greedy and such they’d be more realistic and honest when they allegedly"create oppurtunities". So Instead of putting on a show,they’d stop playing games and get thier hands dirty and live the life of most lower class people then maybe they’d think a bit differently when they experince the short end of the stick. BMW’s,big houses, nice clothes they don’t mean as much as food or shelter,they’d understand this only with experince ..not just a politically correct opinion..

Sorry, if I ‘laid it on’ a little hard. Your description of the United States as a totalitarian government along the lines of Nazi Germany struck me as a little odd and caused a gut reaction. I’ll admit technology and the pace of life is moving faster and faster, and if each of us do not keep pace then we are left behind. I don’t think, though, that it is much different than it has ever been. There are the poor and the well to do. There are the takers and the givers. There are the lucky and unlucky; the people born into wealth and those born into poverty; those born in the U.S. and those born in third world countries. We here in the U.S. have been blessed with an enormous level of freedom. Freedom, however comes with responsibilities and consequences. We each, for the most part, are free to do what we wish with our lives. The U.S. is mostly a totalitarian state, however, it is not recognized as such since the technologies and lifestyle that everyday Americans are accustomed to exceed those of most of the world. Eventually there was an outcry to not engage in suce illegal activity but to make laws that allow it. In the U.S. this trend is recognized by the government and so we have things like political correctness and other schemes meant to keep people from directly acknowledging corrupt institutions and practices. In the U.S. though there is a diverse group of minorities that form their own cultures and are placed at odds with one another just as in any third-world country except that in the U.S. there aren’t just one or two dominant minorities but an array of different skin tones, English dialects, religions, etc. This of course just gives those in power more fodder for its institutions. In the U.S. the idea of institution seems the most significant for everyday living. We are surrounded by institutions and are all considered secondary to these institutions. By an institution what I mean is something the government will allow you to get killed with. Instead of democracy we then end up with institutions running the government. Some institutions get more leverage from the government than others but an extreme case is any publicly funded university. You end up having politicians having to "respect" academic ideology like PC and pandering to "administration" types . . . this is just one example of the tail wagging the dog. Everything then becomes an institution . . . whether it is your phone, your newspaper, your local superstore, etc. These institutions are run as hierarchical structures. Sometimes the institutions are run by families or individuals with large wealth. Those that wish to deal with the institutions from the outside often are required to show their loyalities like the typical gangbanger might in any ghetto of the U.S. You end up having all sorts of moral implications thusly and education and knowledge take on secondary importance. This then results in more dumbing down and more excuses for the government to impose more and more regulations and procedures to bring the average thought processes even lower. The danger is when those in power become sadistic. This occured in Germany with Hitler and is occuring in various countries. It occurs in the U.S. also. You have then persons with power targeting individuals just for the sake of doing so. This phenomenon is largely what is refered to as a mafia but that word is just a disguise for a larger social problem. At one time there may have been socially connected communities in the U.S. that were heavily organized mostly on geographical basis. During the early 1900’s though the billionaire phenomenon brought with it the idea of "institution." Shortly thereafter the actual mafia took form and brought to the communities its lifestyle. That lifestyle exists today and is largely institutionalized through the use of technology like cell-phones, public roads, media, automobiles, etc. There have even been industries evolved from this like certain styles of clothing, etc. During the 1920’s or so blacks were rioting on a large scale . . . as the 1960’s social movements formed and disbanded, these communities also took the mafia model of existence. As drugs like cocaine and heroin became valuable commoditites the importers of these commodities began to capitalize on the structure whether living in their own countries, whether living in the U.S., or whether they simply provide the route for the commerce. Since the mafia structures took over much of the social fabric of communities naturally those already established in these systems gained most from having their systems used by those directly involved in blackmarket activities–often times involved in their own money laundering activities. The social model the original mafia brought with them recognized ethnic diversity and were designed with ethnicities in mind. The U.S. originally was meant to be an anglo nation but during the 60’s, media began to exercise its constitutional freedoms and social change began to occur that preached social freedom and ethnic diversity. Parts of this movement though included drug use, etc. so in some sense the biggest gainers from the 60’s and media freedoms were again the same people imposing the social order they were fighting against. For an American the best time for the average white was likely the period between the civil war and the late 1800’s. For average minorities there hasn’t been a period yet where they can said to have been "free." As technology progresses the average citizen gains but so too do those with the power. It is possible also for technology institutions to abuse their power so that is another factor that will affect the future of America. In America today though, one has to work in "internet time" to advance socially and gain freedoms. Freedoms are not something that are gauranteed in the U.S. If you want to protect your freedoms you have to purchase them. Frasier. The Western civilization is facing a transitional point. The failure of an era to create a man-like machine has resulted in machine-like man; a man run by the logic of machinery – and, like the external civilization that is extended system of disconnections from the universe, is inside an extended system of ever more sophisticated disconnections from the Soul. The weight of the internalized Thanatos – morally bankrupt, intellectually disproven, spiritually exceeded and demonstrably hideous in its real-life effects – stifles it like a mountain of tumors and has nothing to offer but violence and threats and outdated and easily disproveable falsehood that even its loyal practicioners don’t have the breath to speak well. The world can continue with the unworthy. Or it can begin to look up, down, externally to a logic preceding that of disfigurement: The Psychologic of Love, the psychologic of clarity, the psychologic of the self-creative that takes the tools that have been employed against it and make them a tool of manifestation of the Divine Will that forms the Essentiality and around which all else is rightly a part of the show. I don’t speak of society, I speak of things that inform the social context, the false rationalities stemming from corrupt psychologics and sustained by extended systems of violence done against human psyche to manipulate it away from the universe and into self-feeding routines. Not harware but software; not the entire headspace but its components. Not society itself as a shared consciousness but overbearing lies of which any particular part of it that is not based in Love is comprised. The psychic inteonnectivity between minds, like shared linguistic context, allow for transmission of psychologics true and untrue, and rationalities that stem from either premise. Most people cannot survive long in a place where swarms of mostiqoes lay eggs in your flesh that hatch into live flesh eating maggots that eat you alive slowly,a place where 90% of plant life is toxic and still water kills and crocodiles,worms leeches and other things that hurt ,parasite,eat or poison people live in all waters.the first thing you do when stranded in the rainforest is FIND people!! Human bodies are vunerable we have no fur,teeth or clwas we run slow we are awkward.We needed each other,and through that need community was made.

The good thing about having a practical mind is that it can be used to overcome constraints of the material world.The current model does that, by creating greater constraints on the mental world. The good thing about having a psychically attuned mind is that these too can be transcended, until the Soul has conquered barriers to its manifestation not only in Nature but also in Human Mind and Human Psyche and Social Context. It took a connected community of humans to share with each other discoveries about which plants protected against mosuitoes laying fly eggs,and wich plants could be eaten to survive and to make cures.Shamanism is close to art healing and sadly,sometimes trickery…Society if it was not corrupted long ago by the scared little manipulating bully boys you mention below,it would be VERY different.We need a society,because no man is an island,or can be one emotionally.We don’t however need corruption.

When people have fears things will attach to feed on these fears. One way is to demand of everyone to overcome fear individually and let parasites spread. The other is to hunt down these parasites of consciousness wherever they may appear and allow people to place their minds together toward mutual benefit. The suggested solution is for allowing those who seek Absolute consciousness to practice the Zarathustra method, while allowing others to interact on the basis of shared strengths.. Funny you mention this, recently laws have been passed so mothers can abandon babies legally if they dump it at a hospital before it’s 4 days old.I think for some unprepared or unhealthy mothers it could be good thing,but nobody thinks a law like that can be passed,But it has been passed already.Also the wording of laws creates many unseen unquestioned loopholes and sins of omission,what they don’t say or say clearly so YOU understand CAN be used against you by a manipulator. Yes administration makes demands that you have these I learned the proper way to use jargon and prove myself with the proper procedure to please university authorities degrees.To be eligible to get degrees in subjects you excell at,you must get a ‘well rounded’ education first full of non-subjects like Gym or macrame or pornography 101.And pay for it. Totalitarian abuses were what the founders of the U.S. wished to avoid. The original settlers might have been outcasts or they might have been spiritual people. Historically, I think both these theories are possible. One thing though is certain, is that the original settlers would not have been allowed entry into the U.S. without having allegiance to the crown. The original settlers provided a permanent location for monarchy based trade . . . eventually though and over a hundred years later these groups diverged and the U.S. resulted. At that point there was no monarchy but position or rank in the U.S. was determined by land ownership or acreage and so was thus an agricultural society. With industrial revolution came civil revolution and land expanision. The northern states for the average citizen must have been more free than the rigid south. The west soon became a symbol of freedom and the U.S. turned inward until the Japanese bombed Hawaii. After WWII society changed and the institutional power begun in the early 1900’s became increasingly powerful and established. Today in the U.S. we are living in a period where we have a totalitarian system based on an institutionalized black-market–a market much different than the prohibition era activities or the organized rackets of various groups in the past. This market has military involvement and higher commodity values and more persons involved in transportation, manufacture, and distribution than in past times. One fault I see, that only is in your word based premise here. It is not with the idea but with the interpretation of it,and the meaning in the eyes of some people..Some people see good life affirming things in human society (I do)and they are right partially,also society harbors deep corruption that is what I think you are saying you want to remove right? Not human society in of itself. People get defensive about that becaiuse psyches need each other they need to connect relate and share.Communies and societies do that. Am I correct? IMO We need a society,a community, because WE need each other as humans we are interconnected and interdependant with each other AND the world. We areparts of a bigger reality attempting to"see itself"..We formed a "society" and created a social contract based oin trust to not use,harm or exploit.It was a people made set of conduct codes to set up a barrier against exploitation and to protect each other from the dangers of the harsh world we existed in at the same time.Corruption broke the contract…This human trust barrier has been broken long ago.The protection from the harsh evironnment,and the social respectful trust barrier has been welched on too by corrupt people.This social trust was and is still being violated by manipulators and bullies of many things. I saw a show awhile back called "Survival Science" about what it took to survive in the harsh enviornment of the rainforest. We need to go back to trust,responsibility,empathy,respecting consent and the rights of all persons to say no, safety,insight,self empowerment,justice,respect,kindness,connection and love.Not cling to beliefs or fears about these things. Freud spoke of Thanatos as an actual instinct, a primal instinct, a form of original sin. But that is patently untrue. Thanatos is this and this only: An agglomeration of infestations and violence done to the Psyche – to EROS that is the True and Only Basic Motive – and everything that reside thereupon. Thanatos is an agglomeration of Tumors – of Cysts – of disfigurements against Life that rises into manifestation as some fearsome landfill monster and, for as long as people give any bit of it credence, Murders and Frightens and Desolates human soul.

Thanatos is a reification of Fear; reification of Failure to Will and Failure to Live; reification of Anti-Life resident through human consciousness.
