Thats because people over thirty might tell you the truth<gg Not what you’d like to hear! Mary – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – Hi all! I’m new to this NG, though not to the world, at 29 and 11/12ths years, and going strong…well, surviving <grin!. Hi Matt, One word of advise is don’t trust anybody over thirty! The Starmaker
Response:
nah, people over thirty are more likely to be jaded and disappointed with their lack of success, and people under thirty are probably not experienced enough to know what they’re talking about. so I would advise the new guy to trust no one. And do backup research himself. (and the 29 and 11/12ths thing was cute) – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text -Thats because people over thirty might tell you the truth<gg Not what you’d like to hear! Mary Hi all! Hi all! I’m new to this NG, though not to the world, at 29 and 11/12ths years, and going strong…well, surviving <grin!. I’d like to introduce myself to this group, and let you all know that I’ve read all 700+ back-messages in the past 30 days (phew!) and am all caught up (er, I think). I certainly have my own opinions, which I’m sure I’ll share with you all, and yet I am very friendly, honest, and — imagine this — tactful! (hehe) I have done quite a bit of stage theater work — acting, directing, stage management, et al. — for the past 12 years; I’ve worked in community and repertory theatres in the Boston, MA area, and in a children’s-show touring company, travelling across the entire Southeastern U.S. (10,000 miles in two months…phew!). NOTE: Anyone else in the Boston area?? <smile Give me an email! So, just letting you know I’m here…at least for a little while…to see what I can glean from you folks! Talk to y’all soon! Yours in good gleaning… Matt Leavitt Matthew L. Bah dum dum! Anyhoo, stagesource is about 70 bucks for the initial membership and 30 or so thereafter….Its brought me quite a bit so far. – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text -lythium wrote… *slap* jes kiddin’ Stagesource is actually a great place to find out about auditiond. When you join you get access to the audition hotline and members only website. Really worth the money. Okay…I remember now. Yeah, I’ve heard it’s a good resource. Do remember how much it is? (Yes, I can find out myself, but I’m lazy. hehe) The Mass film hotline/website is also a good resource. Yes, a friend of mine booked an audition through them. He was a dancing banana for a commercial spot…I guess he was just too slippery for them. –Matt (argh-ing at his own pun…)
