LA: Conventions–Theatre

Question:

<<I’m going for a week visit to see some relatives and friends, but during the day when they have to work (I am going in April) I want to tour. I have never been to one (convention) and I want to learn something. Not quite certain what you mean by a convention.  There is the Actorfest the last weekend of April.  It is the only convention I know of. What exactly do you want to accomplish and/or learn? Hey, anybody, I’m a new actor. Never made money though. I’d like to ask you a question. How do I find out about any conventions for theatre and acting? I used to live in Southern California, so I can get around there pretty well. I’m going for a week visit to see some relatives and friends, but during the day when they have to work (I am going in April) I want to tour. I have never been to one (convention) and I want to learn something. What kind of conventions are there?I have an old friend who builds on movie sets. He’s a carpenter and right now they are working on Batman-5(?) and some other one. I’m going in with him one day to see them working on it. I doubt there will be any actors around. Can you lead me somewhere? Sincerely, Charles Story ps. this is my first post so tell me if I did something wrong. …stay away from the guacamole. It’s laced!                                 * * * * * [This message was posted to the ACTING-L mailing list and relayed to this newsgroup.  You may followup to the newsgroup or, if you are a  member of ACTING-L,  reply  to  the  list.   For  more  information  send E-mail to
